There is a coating on the interior of cans usually epoxy that prevents the food from coming into contact with the metal of the cans. Campbell Soup Company, who owns the plant, announced Wednesday that it plans to close the manufacturing facility by spring The shut-down will take place in phases over the next 18 months.
The chunky version of beef and barley soup contains 4 grams of fiber, and the homestyle cajun chicken, beans and rice soup contains 3 grams of fiber per serving. It can be cooked in the microwave or on a stovetop. Let the soup boil for at least one minute. Turn the heat down to medium-low and let the soup simmer for a few minutes. Pour the canned soup into a small or medium-sized oven-safe pot. Add a little bit of water, broth, or cream, if the base is too thick, and stir well.
The soup is already cooked during the canning process and does not necessarily require heating before its consumption. It is only heated so that its taste can be enhanced and also if there is any microorganism present in it, then heating will kill that microbe.
The only thing to be considered is that a person should not consume soup directly from the can as there are chances of cutting lips because of the sharp edges of the can. To safely consume canned soup after opening, pour it into the bowl and then eat it with the help of a spoon.
All of these ingredients are accurately cut so you can see and enjoy the vegetables and pieces of meat. All the ingredients are boiled in a rich broth with an excess of flavour from strong ingredients such as steak spice, chipotle chillies, and red wine.
Soups are one of the healthy and tasty things which are liked by almost everyone in any weather, summer or winter. Most people eat soup when they are in a hurry and they want to have a quick meal.
They consider canned soup as the best option. The difference between the nutrition of canned soup and homemade soup is that some of the nutrients like water-soluble vitamins are lost in the process of making canned soup.
The canned soup is easy to make and is readily available, unlike homemade soup which requires time to prepare. How can you make it through college and not learn how to eat soup cold straight from the can???

It might not harm you to eat it but I wouldn? Jan 8, 2, 0 0. I used to eat Campbell's Chunky Soup straight from the can and still do on occasion when I get nostalgic for the days when I didn't live with my gf. I'd also eat Campbell's non-chunky straight from the can, but it's a lot thicker and saltier.
What's sick is that my ex-roommate would eat Stagg chili straight from the can. Just the thought of cold tomato-pastey stuff makes my skin crawl. That soup was nasty even warm! Feb 4, 2, 0 0. Nastiest soup I've had in my life. Progresso is much better IMO. Nitemare Lifer. Feb 8, 35, 1 Originally posted by: TheAudit Yeah! You must log in or register to reply here.
